The late Mississippi legislator, Representative Charles Lemuel Young, Sr., is the founder of the Charles L. Young, Sr. Foundation. He established the entity in 2001 to continue making a positive impact on citizens throughout Mississippi, particularly children.  Active throughout his life in seeking to address issues such as civil rights and education, the late statesman proved that one man can and does make a difference, if he believes that he can and puts forth the effort to do so.
